Hulston Mill Historical Park is in the growing
Stockton Lake recreational area. Limited development of the park has
included moving the historic pre-Civil War Hulston Grist Mill to the
site designated for the historic village. The mill and the historic
village will serve as focal points in the park.
Public schools in Greenfield include
Greenfield Elementary and Greenfield High School. Serving
area higher
education needs are Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Ozarks
Technical Community College, Drury University, Southwest Missouri
State University, Missouri Southern State College,
Pittsburg State
University and Northwest Arkansas
Community College in Bentonville,
AR.
Hospitals and medical centers in the area
include the Missouri Rehabilitation Center, Barton County Memorial
Hospital and Cedar County Memorial Hospital.
There are
various annual festivals also in the area
such as the Black Walnut
Festival, Buffalo Days, Apple Butter Making Days and Nathaniel Boone
